Odyssey Project

The primary purpose of HIDA's Odyssey Project is to teach Multisensory Structured Language (MSL) and other research-based methods to teachers, tutors and other educators who work with students with dyslexia and other struggling readers in HawaiŽi. Another purpose is to increase the availability of reasonably affordable MSL tutoring for students in HawaiŽi and to provide MSL tutoring scholarships to financially disadvantaged students. The number of scholarships available is dependent upon availability of funds and appropriately trained academic language therapists. HIDA is a non-profit organization that submits on-going grant proposals to fund The Odyssey Project. Fundraisers and individual donations are also used to subsidize the program.
